Child Protection
The school has a statutory responsibility to promote safeguarding the welfare of children. If any member of staff becomes concerned that a child may have suffered abuse or have any concerns about child protection issues, they will advise the Headteacher who will alert statutory agencies of the concerns. The procedures followed at Shefford Lower School are as stated in the Bedfordshire and Luton Manual of Child protection.
